Planning Commission

The Planning Commission is an appointed advisory body, typically composed of resident volunteers, that guides the physical growth and development of the township. Its primary role is to create and maintain the community’s Comprehensive Plan, review applications for new subdivisions and land developments, and make recommendations on zoning changes. Unlike the elected Board of Supervisors, the Planning Commission does not have final decision-making power; instead, it provides expert, non-binding advice to the supervisors, who cast the final and legally-binding vote on all land use and development issues.
